Dance of the Dead

Category: Fantasia,Reviews

Who can resist a zombie comedy? A zomedy if you will. In this case the premise is zombies at the prom and that’s all you need to know. It is just as silly, stupid, reliant on stereotypes and hilariously good fun as you are no doubt imagining. Fun times were had by all.

I’m giving it 3 1/2 niqueheads as a Fantasia experience, though I admit it probably wouldn’t have been quite as much fun if I’d been at home alone sitting in my own filth.

And that concludes Fantasia 2008! Whew! I survived. You know, this year hasn’t been so bad. We had a good strategy this time around, which mostly consisted of not seeing late movies on weeknights. Because we be old. Things were also helped by the fact that the organizers more or less had their shit together this year, well, relatively speaking anyway. The movies almost always started on time, which is a welcome change from years past. Well done Fantasia dudes, well done indeed. (But Mitch Davis is still an asshole).

I’m actually sorry it’s over because this month has been a welcome break from working on Waste Island. But now I have no excuse not to work on it. *sigh* I be old and lazy.

But alas, the movie-going does not end here! There are 3 sequels to see now. Batman, Hell Boy and X-Files. But at least those ones will be seen in comfortable seats.

Good work, thanks for the fantasia reviews, my Spanish zombie vampire dramedy playlist for the next year is filling out nicely. Well done. Now get back to work, they epic saga of your teenage alter egos must continue.
