schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KC has requested that I recommend a few choices for this year&#8217;s Fantasia.\u00a0 There are some movies that look good\u00a0but don&#8217;t fit into my schedule so we will be trying to download what we can&#8217;t see.\u00a0 But here are the movies I am planning on viewing:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Yatterman<\/em>: Kitchy Japanese superhero romp.\u00a0 A live action version of an anime from the &#8217;70s.\u00a0 Even the Japanese do remakes apparently.<\/p>\n<p><em>Infestation<\/em>:\u00a0 American, giant bugs attack.\u00a0 Looks hilarious, very tongue-in-cheek.<\/p>\n<p><em>Love Exposure<\/em>: 4 hour Japanese opus about sin, religion, love and whatnot.\u00a0 This one has won several awards so I&#8217;ll go ahead and recommend it.<\/p>\n<p><em>Instant Swamp<\/em>: Typical Japanese kookiness.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mutants<\/em>: France&#8217;s take on zombies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yesterday<\/em>: Canadian zombies.\u00a0 Low budget, but the trailer sold it.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tokyo OnlyPic 2008<\/em>: Japanese satire of the Olympics&#8230; or something.\u00a0 Looks very weird in a way only the Japanese can get away with.<\/p>\n<p><em>My Dear Enemy<\/em>: South Korean romantic comedy.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve seen a few South Korean flics of this type before and they are always a bit weird and subversive, not your American style romcom.\u00a0 (They inevitably get remade by American studios but I&#8217;ve never bothered to watch the remakes so I don&#8217;t know how faithful they are.)<\/p>\n<p><em>Canary<\/em>: This is the one I&#8217;m anticipating the most because it had THE best trailer I have EVER seen.\u00a0 Utterly amazing.\u00a0 I desperately hope the movie will be as good.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to give too much away but it&#8217;s American and about organ donation.\u00a0 Perhaps what <em>the Island<\/em> should have been, or so I hope.<\/p>\n<p><em>Edison &amp;
